The first thing that can affect the last mission in Mass Effect 2 is whether players have done the ME2 character loyalty missions, and how many of the Normandy upgrades have been purchased. The Suicide Mission does play out roughly the same way no matter what, however. Because of that, keep in mind that Mass Effect 2's ending may not feature every party member based on the choices made throughout the game.
